Getting to Cologne

There are 3 major airports near Cologne. Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN) is only 16 km (10 miles) away form Cologne center. Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN)

Take the S-Bahn S13 (goes every 20 min.), a regional train or an IC/ICE (fast train) to Cologne Central Station. The journey takes approx. 15 minutes. A taxi from the airport to the the center (Maritim Hotel) costs approx. ?25.

 

 

Düsseldorf Airport (DUS)

Take a regional train (e.g. RegionalExpress 1) or an IC/ICE to Cologne Central Station. The journey takes approx. 40 minutes and costs about 13 ?. A taxi from the airport to Cologne center costs approx. ?75.

 

 

Frankfurt Airport (FRA)

Take the ICE directly from Frankfurt Airport Railway Station (Fernbahnhof) to Cologne Central Station. The journey with the ICE takes approx. 60 minutes, the standard fare is 60 ?.

 

 

From Cologne Central Station to Maritim Hotel

 

Exit Cologne Central Station in direction to City Center / Cologne Cathedral, which you cannot miss arriving by train.

 

Now you can either take bus 132 in direction to Frankenstr from the bus stop at Trankgasse between Central Station and the Cathedral. Get off at Gürzenichstr. (only 2 stops). You can buy a short distance ticket (Kurzstrecke 1,60 ?) on the bus. From the bus stop its another 3 minutes to walk.

 

Or take a taxi from the station forecourt (approx. 6 ?)
