International Mobility
The University of Cologne and the Institute of Geophysics and Meteorology support also stays abroad during your study time. This could be for example a full semester abroad, a research stay as part of your bachelor or master thesis or an internship. Note that a stay abroad typically includes long-term planning (>10 months) and need to be prepared well in advance by you. - The deadline for applications for an ERASMUS+ semester abroad in the winter term 2026/2027 or in the summer term 2027 is 31 January 2026! If you would like to submit an application, we recommend contacting us beforehand. Please find an overview of all documents needed in this PDF. The application form can be downloaded here. All documents need to be provided in a single PDF. Applications for ERASMUS+ agreements related to the Institute of Geophysics and Meteorology have to be submitted via email to Dr. Kerstin Ebell. Applications for ERASMUS+ agreements related to the Institute of Geography or the Institute of Geology have to be submitted to the corresponding coordinators at these institutes, i.e., Dr. Verena Dlugoß or Prof. Dr. Bernd Wagner.
