18 bachelor and master students of the Institute of Geophysics and Meteorology visited the EUMETSAT (European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites) operation center in Darmstadt together with Prof. Susanne Crewell and Mario Mech. The intention of the visit was to see real life what was learned within the remote sensing course about satellites, their operation and the observations conducted with them. Furthermore an overview of EUMETSAT activities and their early career opportunities has been given by EUMETSAT emloyees.
