Research Topics
- Characterization of the Atmospheric Boundary Layer (ABL) in complex terrains via field measurements.
- Synergistic approaches with remote sensors (Doppler Lidar, Ceilometer, Microwave Radiometer) to investigate the structure and diurnal evolution of the ABL.
Research interests
Investigate the processes in the ABL via remote sensors that measure different properties and elucidate the complexity of this lower part of the Atmosphere in terms of its stability, turbulence, mixing mechanisms and concentration of water vapor and aerosols. Utilize robust databases, such as the ones available in the Jülich Observatory of Cloud Evolution (JOYCE) and within the Aerosol, Clouds and Trace Gases Research Infrastructure (ACTRIS), to better understand these complex ABL dynamics.
