Instruments of the Institute of Geophysics and Meteorology are also operated in the Arctic as part of the collaborative research center TR172 “Arctic Amplification” and the project CLOUDMAPS. Continuous ground-based atmospheric observations are performed at Ny-Ålesund (Svalbard, Norway) and Longyearbyen (Svalbard, Norway). In addition, we are also involved in aircraft and ship-based campaigns.
