Information for Employees (COVID 19)

last updated 25.11.2021

Dear employees,

on this page, we will inform you of the impact of the Corona pandemic on your work at the Institute for Geophysics and Meteorology. Please make sure to revisit this page regularly as it will be updated frequently.

  • Working in home office is currently the norm

  • The 3G rule applies to work in presence. The corresponding proof (vaccination or convalescence certificate, certified test) must be sent to your supervisor before entering the institute. In case of vaccination or convalescent certificate, it is sufficient to do it once. Violations are subject to fines.

  • At the institute, hygiene rules must be observed, in particular, wearing a mouth-nose covering (except at the workplace, when alone in the office or exclusively among vaccinated persons), minimum distance of 1.5 m from other persons, disinfection of hands, regular ventilation. As the rules may change in detail over time, it is strongly recommended to familiarize yourself with the respective valid hygiene and protection guideline of the university (further information: here).

  • Using the institute bus is currently limited to one person. In exceptional cases, this ruling may be disregarded with approval of your supervisor.
