Welcome to the Institute of Geophysics and Meteorology

The Institute of Geophysics and Meteorology focuses on research fields ranging from applied geophysical exploration to the state of the atmosphere (weather and climate) to the exploration of the solar system and extrasolar planets and moons. The Institute's teaching program includes the Bachelor course 'Geophysics & Meteorology', as well as the consecutive Master's program 'Physics of the Earth and Atmosphere'. More advanced students will be integrated in current research questions treated in the various Research Groups.
