Kick-off meeting

Attendance to the kick-off meeting is compulsory for participation in the module.

Field measurements will take place most likely from May 20. to 26. (Saturday/Sunday might be included). Please block these dates!

Note:

limited number of participants, pre-registration is required. Please register via KLIPS until March 29, 2024. In addition send an email to Pritam Yogeshwar (yogeshwargeo.uni-koeln.de) with your registration. Places are given according to order of registration. Attendance to the kick-off meeting is compulsory for participation in the module.

Information regarding the field course:

Field measurements will be conducted in the upper Harz within the DESMEX project to investigate different mineralization zones and old mining sites. During the field course we will apply surface electromagnetic and direct current resistivity methods to gain information about the shallow subsurface structure (down to max. 200 m depth). The field work will be conducted in groups. The collected field data will be analyzed and discussed every evening to gain first insights to the subsurface structure and answer open questions.
